Nice animals, That has got to be the biggest (natural
) salt deposit on earth. I guess they love that stuff! Let's see some more. Good stuff. That's got to be a long drive to check some cam's. Wish I was there.

I am not sure how long it has been illegal to salt in Montana, but that lick has been there for at least 60 years. To my kknowledge it has not had any salt added to it in quite some time. Just enough left in the ground to keep them coming back.

I used to work back there along time ago and around some just like that. You see elk walk in and there gone for 30 to 45 min. then they climb back out. It's cool you found an old one, keep using it it still work's. Those are some great pic's.
