Garmin MapSource or Hunting GPS Maps?
« on: November 23, 2010, 09:44:18 AM »
Hey all!  I just got a new Garmin Rino and now I am wondering which type of mapping software to purchase.  I mostly hunt elk West side on Weyerhaeuser and Sierra Pacific lands so I am wanting something that possibly even shows gates?? More importantly, which map has the best detail? Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion!

NG, but you won't find all the roads and/or gates on most any mapping software. Weyhauser does not provide accurite and up to date infomation for there land. It changes all the time. They mostly just update there own maps every once in while.

I have and use several different mapping software's and none of them are reliable for private or even forestservice roads. There are always some roadsd that do not show up on these programs.

NG is the best in my book and most accurite.
