What GMU is still open for rifle hunting?  I checked the game regs and I couldnt find a blacktail GMU that is still open for modern firearm. I understand that you had the multi-season permit, but dont you have to hunt with the appropriate weapon during that season with the multi-season permit?

Yes, you do.

I dont claim to know the special permit regs inside and out but hopefully everything was all good here b/c it is a great buck and looks to be very much appreciated. Congrats on a beauty of a BT

Ya I thought the same thing?? It should be a muzzy or bow Rifle is over.  Did you kill it in late buck season?? All modern deer seasons are closed I thought.

Yeah I figured there was something. Great Buck man...I am jealous!! Never seen one that big on the hoof. Hopefully later this year. tracked some bruiser sized tracks for about 6 hours yesterday about 2 miles, tried doe bleats and rattling every couple hundred yards but jumped him out of his bed around 1pm or so.

Again, sweet buck
