Stuffed Squid tubes
« on: November 28, 2010, 07:12:22 PM »
Thought that I would let my brothers and sisters here on the site in on a GREAT squid recipe that has been in the family for years.
Make a filling (stuffing) of rice (cook the rice first),cheese, mushrooms, mushroom soup and whatever else (chopped olives, green onions, diced canned tomatoes).
Clean the squid and then stuff them with the filling that you have made. Line the struffed squid tubes in a glass cake pan and sprinkle them with whatever cheese that you prefer. Put them in the oven at 400 degrees and bake them until they are cooked and hot. It won't take very long.
These squid turn out very tender. They aren't very chewey at all.
People that don't like deep fried calamari will change their minds about squid once they try these!! Enjoy.
