TRESSPASSING THIEF
« on: November 26, 2010, 05:34:01 PM »
My son and I woke up early opening morning excited to get out for an early morning deer hunt. We are fortunate enough to have permission to hunt some private property in our area. My trail cam picked up a few nice bucks and my new ground blind was going to be the perfect set up for my son and I. When we arrived we were very disappointed to find all our stuff gone. It was a hard lesson for my boy and not the way I was hoping opening morning would play out. Hunters stealing from hunters gotta love it!

I've noticed this as becoming more of a problem lately.  I had a buddy have his stand stolen, he set it up way back in the woods and didnt lock it up.  Later the same year a different buddy of ours had a great spot for his stand, locked it up to the tree and some *censored* cut the chain and took the stand.  Cutting chain to get a stand shows some serious dedication.  The worst part about both of these incidents is that they occured on a military base!

Well, you do know it is against the rules to put up trail cams, blinds, or tree stands on any military base unless they are removed daily.
How do you know the MP's did not remove the tree stand  :dunno:
I know I seen a few hunting JBLM this year, could have walked away with them, but didn't.
Should have reported it to the Range Controll, but I didn't. I gave the person the benefit of the dought that they were hunting the same day I was.

Personally, he got what he deserved for breaking the rules. If to many people like that break the rules, it runes it for the rest of us that follow them.

It sucks to have your stuff stolen/taken, but I have to agree with GASMAN on this one.
