so do the times for waterfowl and big game.  If you looked at the big game regs and got 4:55, that's a problem.

What's even worse is that a guy can look them up himself on the WDFW website as easy as posting and waiting for a reply.  If he gets bad info, it's his own fault.
hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

if you cant find the times it the regs, then its half an hour before sunrise to half an hour before sunset. you can figure it out that way.

I think he said he couldn't find his regs and he was asking for help.

Please ignore my smart alec answer.  Another option: many GPS units have sunrise/sunset times built in

For waterfowl it is 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset. For everything else, it goes 30 minutes past sunset.

Times are listed on the inside of the back cover of the waterfowl regulation pamphlet (page 51.) It shows 7:00 to 4:25, as "Sawbuck" posted. Or for the eastside it's 6:45 to 4:10.

Personally I don't ever look at the hunting hours listed in the regulations. I use my GPS, which shows sunrise and sunset.

Weird the times are different.  I could have seen myself getting in trouble with that.

Half an hour before sunset? You're quitting a half hour too early. Hunting hours for waterfowl go to sunset.

No, you can't really figure it out that way. Sunrise and sunset change every day, legal shooting hours change by the week. Shheeeesh I shouldn't have to explain that.

That's how I do it. As I said, I don't even look at the times listed in the regulations. It's more accurate to go by the actual sunrise and sunset times shown on a GPS unit. In most cases, I never can see well enough to shoot at least the first and last 15 minutes of legal time anyway.

+1 I use my GPS to give me precise times for my location.
