My buddy has family with a 300 acre farm in Minnesota we are able to hunt. This was my second year there but my first whitetail. Not too much of a story, just lots of cold days sitting in a tree stand or ground blind. On the 4th day it was below zero with the wind chill when I was sitting in a ground blind at the corner of a plowed corn field when I saw this buck come trotting along about 200 yards out. I waited until he slowed and turned broadside and shot him about 65 yards with a 12 gauge. Decent older buck with good mass, double eyeguards and 18 1/2" wide. Teeth were wore down and had a slight roman nose so looked to be an older buck. Pretty slow overall this year for by buddy and his family as we received a little bit of everything as far as weather.
