First Grouse
« on: November 27, 2010, 06:18:28 PM »
I was on a turkey trip in E.WA (see "first turkey" on turkey page), and I saw this grouse in a tree.  I had my 3" mag, and a full choke, and he dropped like a stone.  I have no dog, and he was just lying there in the snow.  I hit him so hard that I didn't even have to wring his neck.  He was at about 15 yards.  One more species to add to the list.   :chuckle:  :)

Yeah, it was in really good shape.  I blew the beak off though.   :chuckle:
