Stocks would be near the bottom of options I'd look at.  First, how well does it shoot right now?  Most Tikka T3s I've owned and know of have shot quite well without any adjustments.

Which ammunitions have you tried?   Is your scope solidly mounted?  Is the stock free floated?  Are all the screws tight?  I have to ask: do you flinch?  Have you asked others to shoot it and confirm they get the same results?

How far are you planning to shoot with it?  A big game rifle that can put three shots inside 2" at 100 yards is plenty good enough for 95% of all big game shooting.  Out to 400 yards you've got nothing to worry about.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Get a barrel from Benchmark barrels in Arlington. Get the action trued by a custom smith.  Tweak the trigger. New stock and a big ass scope. what more could you customize.

If you want to shoot 1k yards then get a heavy 308 barrel.
If you want to shoot big big game then get a 338 Federal barrel.

Yup...definitely a throw away gun.  They're good for backpack hunts, once you get your buck you just toss the gun and pack your deer out...saves you about 6 1/2 pounds. :chuckle:
thats why you get quick detach rings...... so you can keep your tasco when you throw away the tikka  :chuckle:

Hey, if you want to tweek your T3 start reloading!  These things are about as accurate as needed right out of the box.  It you want better accuracy, start with nice scope and learn the trade of reloading.  I have a T3 .300 WSM and started reloading my own ammo.  Its a ton of fun and IMHO the only customizing you need to consider.

If you do decide to throw your T3 in the trash, please let me know and I will PM you the address to my garbage can, it is not picky on caliber.

I'd go with some others said, if you want more from it start reloading. Maybe have it glass bedded. If you're looking to start changing barrels and more, might as well start with a 700, M70 or custom action.

700 is next. My father worked for the scary black helicopter g sqaud and was blah blah. He wont share his toys or knowledge so much yet. Its one of those tough love got to figure it out on your own nobody showed me how story. Sucks cause he hase a tricked out tikka but wont hook me up. Its killing me! I have to know how to square away my tikka when I get it. I know its accurate but to some excellence is everything. Reloading is only a matter of time and money. I have the time and the money is coming. I just need some seasoned vets to guide me and give me some in site. Any takers? What I need #1 a good reloading kit for beginners but one I can master and have for a good period of time. #2 if I need gunsmithing good reliable gunsmith that is not a *censored*. #3 someone thinking outside the box that has some ideas for mods. #4 online performance enhancing parst for tikkas. Thank you for reading, sorrry it was so much but I wouldn't ask if I didn't think someone could help or give me there point of view. Thanks again hoosier

Manners makes some really nice, extremely tough carbon fiber composite stocks that have recently been inletted for the Tikka actions.  The stock tupperware stock has always turned me off of the Tikka's, but they've got great triggers, smooth as ball bearing actions, and above average accuracy, why wouldn't you trick one out?!

Thanks for the stock info I will look into them I had to hand carve a blank for mine and it is a tack driver to 1000

If you bed the stock and put a good scope on it you will be happy with your Tikka. Mine is one of the finest shooting rifles i have ever shot and a quarter of the price of most of them.
Never to far, Just grab another minute!
