Im concerned about these cords.  I hunt the late season for roosies and really beat the brush hard.....tangled up/catching on twigs  etc wear life?  Thoughts?
Vegetarians?..Vegetarians are cool.  All I eat are vegetarians....except for the occasional mtn. lion steak.

They seem to pop off quite easily, I'd be afraid of losing them in the brush as well !!

I understand both concerns you two brought up and they are valid.  Remember, everything in Archery is a trade-off in one form or another.

The cord on my rest has not gotten tangled yet, but that is not to say it oculd not happen.  I was in the thick stuff this past weekend and I know I kept checking both my cord and peep tubing.  It is kind of a hassle in that respect.

As for the FOB coming off, that could happen as well in the thick stuff.  I have a Cat Quiver that covers them, so it was not an issue.  I also used my old Alpine Quiver on my bow on Sunday, and though I snagged a lot of brush, I did not loose the FOB off of the arrow, though I did lose an arrow out of the quiver and had to backtrack to find it.  Nice that the FOB and Wraps are Blaze Orange and stood out great against the snow!

I use a cat quiv also so no issue there.  Apparently, they dont make a fall away rest that is cordless?  I have enough of a time catching the wheels sights etc. in vegetation.  Love the idea....just dont know if its applicable to the PN rainforest thrash.

You definitely have the "Hands and Knees" type hunting over there.  I thought it was thick here in my area, but hunting the OP is something else entirely.

I called http://www.battledrumwraps.com/index.php (517) 266-7446. They are very busy and it took several tries to get through. I was so pleased with the service I got, I had looked at the Custom wraps section and gave the details of the Custom Wrap I wanted. He should have it designed and posted on the site this evening for me to order. I also designed my own FOB Wraps and they will be available this evening. The cool part is this. You can order anyones custom wraps as long as it displays on the site. You can use parts of several wraps to make your own. You can send them a picture and they can put it on Wraps. It is a pretty sweet process. Give it a try...

Well...I found a cordless drop away rest.  What do you think? FOB ready?

Kinda cool to watch the flex of the arrow shaft in the video.

That is one of the reasons that I have not switched to them.

That would work.  My QAD works the same way.  You can use the cord so that it locks up when you draw or you can flip the thumb lever and it locks up.  You could actually remove the cord all together if you chose.
It works on inertia at the realease to drop, same as the ShurDrop does.

All that's needed now is to check all clearances with the FOB tester. If clearances are ok, and left and right, and level arrow are okay, then D loop needs to be checked. D loop should be tied so it doesn't close which will pinch the FOB at full draw.

Not sure about this one.......

No data on my end.  Looks like it would work, my concern is easy of use.  When I Elk hunt I like to be able to pull and shoot.  This one you need to load and pull up with thumb before you shoot.  But without having one in my hands I can not say.  I want to see what it looks like pulling back not just shooting from full draw.  I prefer my rest to look like a John Deer.

What do you mean you need to load and pull up with thumb before you shoot?  They don't shoot exactly like normal arrows?

Here is the FOB wrap and arrow I had them make for me. I wanted them to be white for ease of locating so no fancy flashy colors but my design anyway.

What he meant was that with the string/chord dropdown, when you draw back the rest and arrow come up & that's what he meant by pull and shoot. The video does not show how the rest gets up and ready for release. It would appear that you  have to set it by hand and leave it up. However the video did not address that.
