If the date stamp is accurate and given the plant stage, I would say Michigan collared study wolf. The hair and body condition would be normal for summer.

Close, it was on a friends bear bait station in Wisconsin.

And one more thing. Remind me to never post a picture of my hunting area kill sites, if you can almost call the state 1800 miles away from a stamp and some plants. It would take you about 45 seconds to be on the ridge above me.  :chuckle:  Well actually I am on the top of the ridge so beside me then.

Can you say the general area in WI?  The wolves have spread almost all the way down the entire western part of WI now.  A buddy of mine has pictures of them as far south as Tomah almost 5 years ago.  Of course, that not according to the DNR there.  I also wondered why a coyote would have a collar on it.  That actually looks like one of my neighbor's mutts.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

whatever it is it look pretty skinny = not a very good hunter. Maybe we'll get lucky and it won't survuve the winter.   :chuckle:

Don't we want the poor hunting ones to stay in the gene pool?
