My go to gun is a BLR lightweight in 300wsm. I love it. The triggers suck but hey ya get used to it. I shoot 165 accubonds and its impressive!
Its a hard hitter on the shoulder but I like that!  :)

My lightweight stainless weighs about 7.5 without the scope. Scope clearance inst bad really as far as the hammer goes IMO and I have BIG hands. I had a VXL on it with dednutz low mount and it was fine. The VXL was a bit much for it though. Lol
I just changed it to a 3-9 x 40 Monarch and its much less top heavy. I use a Safari sling for mine. I love the Safari slings for fast shots.

There short, fast and fun to shoot! I just have always loved em....

I have a .308 after having handled a 30-06 and a 300WM, the 308 handles much differently.  I like mine!

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

My Pre 81 BLR in .308 is one awesome deer gun.  Fast on target acquisition, and deadly accurate.  I have won some bets on the range, out shooting off the rack bolt guns.  The newer models just do not feel the same to me when shouldering them.   :dunno:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
