I thought the muzzle looked big, but if you zoom in on the picture you can see his front paw along side the muzzle.  Could be a big dark 'yote.  His legs look too short for a wolf, but that's just my guess.  There's only one sure way to find out  :mgun:

Thats what I noticed. Muzzle is definetly skinnier than it looks if you don't zoom in and see the paw behind it.  Body looks bigger than a yote, but maybe just its winter coat.  Can't really tell a shape on the ears from this pic, plus its not in color.  I am on the fence, but leaning toward coyote.  Would need a better pic to see the body and head to really identify this critter.

The white part of the nose is one of its front feet.  I dont know it has some wolfish look to it but hard to tell for sure.  Im going with yote though.

I blew up a few of my yote pics side by side with this one.  I know that wolves and yotes will cross up, like dogs and yotes do. Makes sense i am kinda at a 50/50 on this one. the face and muzzle= wolf to me. legs and body=yote :dunno: so many choices :chuckle:

At first I thought wolf but after seeing that blown up pic I'm thinking yote.   :dunno:

It needs to be killed for proper identification. It's the only way.

Either way it appears to be charging your camera and probably represents a threat to your well being, which I believe you have a right to defend.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
