Last spring, I asked my Father in Law name Mark J if he want to contiune on 5th years apply Permit. He decide to put in  again on 5th years. Finally got Selected.   :IBCOOL:  So I also Selected!  :yike:

Last week on thanksgiving, He really want to go finish building his project on his Cabin and it end up PILE of Snow and back out. So I plann to go myself to find One Nice Cat just like Bucklucky!     I have met few Cats like his over Idaho and I cant find BIGGER than that. So I decide to invite Mark to go hunt on Open day. So I can spend whole my own time thur winter Searching as much as I can.

I start to look at Calender... Come on DEC 1... Come on Dec 1....  FINALLY Finished my project on a weekend before Dec 1. Whee...

Day before Dec 1 We packed and Head out. Snoq Pass closed 4pm to 5pm. Dang... patient hopefully it open finally get going and snowing storm kinda not bad.

We stayed over a family Rancher and in the morning I plann to take him with us but he have limit time to do  so I decide to go with Mark.

Soon We got in two different Location and three Houndmen Rig already came out. THAT EARLY!  Dang look like they covered whole mountain and show us that it might not good place to go so I decide to stay and go upper they left to other mountain Because I know some good Big Tom lives.. I spend hour and notice road with snow covered so I took left in to a Deadend Road appox few hundreds feet. We went down hill and Saw a Cut.

What a NICE TRAX!  Cant believe three Houndmen rig passed a T Interection and they all didnt check  in to little Road! So Lets see...

So I Collered Leader Female and threw on Trax. it has 1/8 light snow over it. I believe this Cut appox about 8 to 11 hours old. So She working on it and there is Coyote trax messing Cat Trax and lots Deer traxs. Geez... she kinda slow in little start and I collared Best Dog and threw on trax. Both start to work together and get going.

Few min later. I had Pup with me and I am not sure if they are working on it so I went out hiking and check make sure two ON Cat trax. And not end up on other Animals.  :chuckle:

So it seem good signal after 500 yds hiking taking pic of two hounds trax on Cat Trax..

Hiking hiking...  Mark J listen and I watch my Gps. I asked Mark DID YOU BRING YOUR TAG with u. And I have my Permit Tags and everything with me.   He forget in my truck. So I told him GO BACK if you want this Cat. I am not LET U shoot unless u have tag with u. So He leave Backpack and head back to truck!   :chuckle:  Learn LESSON for him!
