Either a tree fell on him or you cut him in half and shoved in there?

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around, does it make a sound? Does the deer it falls on make a sound?
On another note, why was a deer laying around on it's back in a wind storm? Something is fishy..

She was probably looking for a place to hide from you so she crawled under there knowing that is the part you were intrested in anyhow!!

It is great country, i have only hunted it once in the general season and had never been in there before. I was impressed with the country though and we did not see a whole lot of other hunters, but we did not see a whole lot of deer either. My buddies did not like it so i am guessing that i will probably never hunt it again. Great thread, it was funny to see some of the ideas that may have happened.

Nice Buck! What weapon were you hunting with? Was this a special permit hunt? With snow on the ground it would be too late for a general season.

Yep, the Entiat's been ruined. Don't waste your points - please! Nothing but young bucks, little bucks and does, and when you draw there are a TON of other hunters. Save your points - please! It's not worth the gas money. Game Department ruined it - honest. If I didn't live right by there, I wouldn't bother, it's ok for the local yokels, but not worth a drive. Trust me, would I lie?

Ok...Ok! The past years fires coupled with harsh winters has really driven herd numbers to record lows. Dry summers have stunted antler growth for over a 20 year span which has changed the genetic "potential" of the mature mule deer bucks. This now once famous big buck mecca produces bucks now that have crabby fronts and backs that branch high....your lucky to see 150" bucks any more.
I dont understand why so many people put in for this unit.

It was not easy to pass him up. But with some of the other bucks we were seeing you would know why.
