ringing the gong with the 375
« on: December 05, 2010, 07:24:36 PM »
today my buddy and I decided we better get ready to for the 9th and get the rifles out and check it out one last time. we set a gong at 450yds and banged on it with a 270win, 300win, 300ultra, 6.5-06, 243 and a 375H&H. let me say that there is no question when you bang that thing with the big gun. I have not shot much with it at ranges beyond 200 and happily it tracks close enough to my 30-06 program in my brain that I feel incredibly lethal with it up to 450 right now. the calculator says the ultra should be about square with the 375, but man alive it sure seems like the 375 about flips the 25lb plate over.

good times!

Sounds like fun.  I am getting a plate set up for our .338 WM shooting.  I like to hear the gong go off after a shot.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
