Duck.   :P   Seriously though, you cant go wrong with venison, bear langauger (sp?)  is pretty awesome, any bear sausage is awesome.  Elk steaks are great, buffalo is pretty darn good, grouse is awesome.  Duck is the only wild meat that I haven't been to fond of, though I can eat it, I am just gonna do sausage with it for now on.  If I had to pick a favorite, I would have to say deer, of any species.

I like all wild game meat, and will never pass up on venison !!  But honestly Bear is 100% my fav!!
Most of us spend a lot of time preparing for the hunt, and a lot of time in the woods in pursuit of our game!  I enjoy all game meat that i spend so much time pursuing!

What ever protein my son just put in the frig is the bee's knees to me. I just hope he can provide protein and roots, etc in the future. I sure wish that I was better adapted to teaching him to feed a family off the land.

I'd say elk mostly because there is alot more bang for your buck (no pun intended), more meat in the freezer.  My daughter Tara would disagree, she prefers deer.  She was going to kill one this year just so we'd have some meat.  Last year was the only year we did not have deer in the freezer, mostly because of my elk hunt and because most of the girls were busy during deer season and no one got a tag.  She was not happy about that and took care of business by filling her tag.

Moose is great. Elk is a close second. I really like deer too, and I've only had cougar once, but it was also good. My favorite bird is grouse, love grouse.

I like bear. Never shot an elk  :'(  but I have always enjoyed any elk I've been given. Antelope is good and then deer. I like any game bird a lot except duck/goose. I'm just not sure I could eat cougar. That just turns my stomach, probably because I hate cats so much. Nasty creatures.

Moose is fantastic and goes a long ways, but I would have to say for best taste and tenderness:  Cougar is the best hands down.  Just need to kill one...............

From the choices given, I selected Elk.  But then, I have never had moose, and I heard that it is excellent.  I have also heard from several sources that Dall Sheep is the best wild game meat (including Jack O'Connor, who seemed to be right about just about everything else he wrote).  So far though, my favorite meat is Buffalo.

Pronghorn.  We've had meat from approximately 50 over the last ten years.  Our family (including kids, grandparents, and everyone in between) and friends consistently rate it well above elk and deer.  (1) Pronghorn, (2) Elk, (3) Deer.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.
