The information provided is correct about the Storm Widgeon. It's mostly a nickname that has been around forever. In the group of pictures posted, the 2nd picture looks like a full plummed Storm Widgeon, and the 3rd picture is one that they refer to the "salt and pepper" and by the looks of the picture, it is about 80% to a full storm widgeon. Either way they are great birds.
For those of you that happen to shoot one and DON'T want to get it mounted, don't forget that you can gift them to your favorite Hunting Washington member that just happens to love those birds if you know what I mean.
