Out of the four of us in our party, we've taken 2 bulls with a rifle and a cow with the bow in the last 6 years.  Usually hunt hard in the morning, then sit the treestands in the afternoon until dark.

i dont really like them and i hunt in the midwest. :chuckle: God gave you feet for a reason

I havent yet.......

I think about it a wonder how a guy would work it out given hunting pressure?

I know spots that the elk consistently travel through, and have often thought of using a ground blind. Would be nice in the rain I think.

Just never sure how to deal with the elks travel paths when hunter pressure has them off thier normal routine.

I have no patience for sitting. Always woried I'm missing something over the next rise kind of guy.

I'm with alen K on this one.... I think it is pretty good way to go... You get you had hunting in and then "Stay in the woods" longer with a comfortable seat...  :twocents: Haven't shot one yet but working on it... I think it is a must for Blacktail...
