Out of the four of us in our party, we've taken 2 bulls with a rifle and a cow with the bow in the last 6 years.  Usually hunt hard in the morning, then sit the treestands in the afternoon until dark.

I havent yet.......

I think about it a wonder how a guy would work it out given hunting pressure?

I know spots that the elk consistently travel through, and have often thought of using a ground blind. Would be nice in the rain I think.

Just never sure how to deal with the elks travel paths when hunter pressure has them off thier normal routine.

I have no patience for sitting. Always woried I'm missing something over the next rise kind of guy.

I'm with alen K on this one.... I think it is pretty good way to go... You get you had hunting in and then "Stay in the woods" longer with a comfortable seat...  :twocents: Haven't shot one yet but working on it... I think it is a must for Blacktail...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
