Walmart gun sale
« on: December 10, 2010, 09:15:09 PM »
For those of you in the area, the Shadle Park Walmart is having a sale on guns.  ALL guns are being sold at $1 over cost until xmas eve!  The prices on the tag in the display case is not the sale price you will have to ask to see that but if they don't have what you want in stock they will special order it as long as it's a brand they sell for the same sale price.  I don't know if the Valley store is doing the same thing but you won't beat those prices anywhere!

Yeah, I just happened to notice it last weekend but I'm not sure if all of the stores that sell them are doing it or if it's just that one in particular

I'd be lucky just to find an available parking space at Bellingham's WalMart.

I called and they said they are the only store with that sale, I asked about a couple rifles and it seems they were only around $40 cheaper? I thought it would have been a little better?

There's not very much mark-up on firearms.  It makes it really hard to find a good deal on a new gun. :bash:

I've bought two guns from Walmart over the years and both were defected in some way. I have a strong suspicion that they buy all the culls from the manufacturers for real cheap. I would reconmend paying the normal price from a reputable gun dealer.

Well the gun I was looking at they don't stock but were going to order for me.  Then they called their supplier and they didn't have one in stock and said it could take 6 months to get it.  Nevermind I'll go someplace else and pay full price.

Good move.. find a gun shop that know their guns and they will have top quality ones, pay full price but you won't be disappointed  :twocents:

I was touring the Ruger plant once and noticed they had a seperate facility just for cheesy Wal-Mart guns...... Sorry, Ive bought guns at Wal-Mart and haven't found anything wrong with them.

Probably due to every retread that had to look at it, fondle it, drop it etc. I've only bought one gun from Wally World but it's very accurate and never had a problem.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have never had a problem with any Firearm that I bought from Wal-Mart..Maybe you just prefer cheesy guns  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Could of been just bad luck. Wish I could of gone through several boxes to find a good one.
One was a  Ruger 10/22 with a cherry stock with several holes with putty filler and shot a loose group. The other was a Remington 870 express and it had a vent rib that did not line up with the top of the reciever. Could be just bad luck but two out of two lemons for me and i'm done with Wally world guns.

They have been selling them cheap at the local one as well.  They have not been restocking the gun cabinet.  I wonder if they are getting out of the gun business.
