I'm planning on it.  If you do, you must do some leg work to get permission.  No public land to hunt.  Good luck.

I just want to know is it worth it for someone coming from the west side?   Can someone get permission to hunt without knowing someone.

probably not, all private and a lot of the roads are closed for the season.

There are a few and very few small herds of elk in there but it's open private land so it's a tough hunt.

We've hunted it a lot for the late season and it's more of just a trip to get out of the house.

Me too, as far as a reason to get out of the house.  There's a section of state land that I tromp around on, but the elk are lucky that they don't frequent it also.  I do enjoy having a reason to get out, though: even if that reason is that I didn't get anything in the regular season.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

My hunting partner backed out.  Any one want to hunt a few days in the late 1010 hunt.  I have some private land permission and a cabin reserved at the Last Resort KOA.  I would like to head down there Wed afternoon and hunt Thursday through Sat.  Let me know if you have any interest.

you need to get permission from the power co. (pacific corp.) too hunt their ground , you can get permits at the KOA.

Thanks for the posts.  Think I'll save the gas money.  Happy New Year hunters.
