shoot the top one first then focus on the second. I figure taking the further one would leave me a chance to get the closer one while he is still in range.

yeah that

Bottom one for me too. Take the closest/better odds shot first. If you take the higher shot, you may lose sight of the lower and lose any chance of a second kill...(in theory) (my theory not yours...)  Be ready for the screaming wounded doggy call and see if you can stop the top dog for a second shot... Yipe, yipe, yipe!

top yote gets my first shot. I think it'd be easier to find the red one once it moves, Red isn't as good for camo. Also the red one is looking at me and may stick around longer.  :twocents:

Top dog gets my first shot, mostly cuz he's bigger, make a better fur on the wall.  I've never been lucky when shooting at two dogs of getting a second shot.  Done very little calling myself, so it's been mostly a luck thing to find two dogs and have them standing still.  Usually the second one is running like his tail is on fire after I shoot the first one.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

top first, pup yelps and second one, looks like cake to me. You always take the hardest shot first.(in this case both shots are easy but ya get my drift)

Top one first. The human eye focuses from far to near quicker than near to far. Increased chance of a double.

if their both looking at you, take the top dog first.  The lower dog won't see the top dog get hit and won't know what happened and which way to run.  Hit the lower dog first, and the top dog will see exactly what happened because he was looking that way and could see the lower dog get hit.

Same thing with shooting birds; hit the back ones first.  hit the front ones first and the whole flock scatters.  hit the back ones first, and the ones in the front don't even know whats going on.

I'd take the top one, my partner the lower one, on 3,2,1 bang

I like the coat of the front one, so I'd shoot that one first.  The top one looks bigger but I'm all for coat color and my nieghbor want a pelt.  If I get another shot, bonus.
