Color is the last thing you worry about when breeding ALCBA dogs, they have black and tans, brindle, saddle back, and merle.  I'll try to find some more photos for you.

Wanted to say one last thing, I LOVE hounds, they are awesome.  These aren't hounds and alot of houndsmen would NOT allow one of these dogs in their box, because they love hounds and would only run hounds.  Most houndsmen if you ask them do not consider UKC Leopard hounds...hounds.  They recognize UKC did it strictly for the money.  ALOT of houndsmen did not want to allow Leopard Curs to become the 7th coonhound breed.  I happen to agree with them.  Why do I like them?  They do everything my bluetick coonhounds used to do, track and tree game, open on track, they have everything from hot to cold nosed individuals.  Very gritty, very smart.  But they handle alot better then most hounds I've been around.  That is why I like them.

Around this area  if a dog hunts, its welcome in any box  don't matter if its Walker or Cur, blue or black. Looks like you got a nice addition

The part about culling the pups is the disturbing part about most dog breeders.
Just don't breed if you may need to cull them.

How do you just take the pups out and kill them,then go sleep soundly?

This one is 18 months old and only lightly started.  We'll see if he makes a finished dog or not, only time will tell.  Very fast dogs.  I have seen everything from hot nosed to very cold nose.  I would say on average the dogs I get from Mr. Oller are cold nosed.  They are excellent bobcat dogs and you probably know what type of nose they need for bobbers.  If your ever going to try a Leopard Cur I would steer clear of the UKC Leopard Hounds, there are some good ones, but the quailty is much better with ALCBA registered dogs and I would narrow that down even further to McDuffie line of Leopard Curs.  There are a couple of good breeders here on the west coast.  McDuffie dogs have good noses, good coats and are really good track and tree dogs.

Cull has many meanings, it does not mean they have to be killed.  All of the pups I've culled have been given to good pet homes.  Some pups, no matter how much of a super star their parents are never make hunting dogs.  Those pups usually make great family pets.  Leopard Curs are great companion dogs.

I always wondered why the breeders didn't just have a friend sell the pups so the bad ones weren't connected with their kennel.
