Below is a 1850's side by side I picked up from a friend. Its a metric size pin fire black powder shot gun made by J Adam Kuchenreuter of Belgium. These are hand made one at a time still. The Kuchenreuter's have been in biz since 1640 and made guns for Napoleon.
This gun has gold inlays and carved bone decorations behind the trigger guard and the barrel release lever.

Its purely a wall hanger for me but I thought y'all might like to see it since its so pretty. I have contacted Kuchenreuter as well Rock Island to have the gun valued.

Worth in Europe is 3 to 4 thousand pounds.

Enjoy the pics.

"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

Beautiful shotgun there!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
