Tried to score but had major debate over g2....look at the g2 close.

Hate to say what I came up with but ...140's  nontypical...real hard to score.

Awesome rack for sure!  I'd be happy to score it for you.  Any reason you wouldn't want to have that buck represented in the state book, assuming it's a WA deer?  Just curious.  They don't have to be your animals, you can be listed as the owner of the rack.

It was at Lucky shot for quite a while... picked it up the other day.

@bow4elk.
I have a buck from my wife's grandad in the book..was at #2 non typ... was fine with puttin it in the book because I knew the hunter.
This buck was taken near Arlington but the hunter was a friend of brother in laws father.. he was a warden so the buck was legal.
Without knowing the hunter I feel funny about having it booked but the buck certainly would score high and deserves the respect.

PS.. I did try to call you...I'll call in a bit.

Great buck, if anything I would at least get it mounted if you don't care about the score.

Thanks guys... good discussion.

I probably will have it scored and booked just to honor the animal and not me.

Charlie is interested in providing a head mount...thanks Charlie...you will get my business from here on.

i would score it and maybe mount it if i had the money, the book thing has never been important to me and it costs money to do so. as far as entering it in the book will do the animal justice..... i guess i dont feel like the same way

That is a stud of a buck.  But even with all those points I don't think i't would make book nontypical.  I came up with 142 4/8 gross.  Great buck but it has stubby points that will keep it from going book.  I would not even think twice about getting it mounted.

Likewise, it was great meeting you - sorry it got so dang cold in my garage. Charlie has a nice pellet stove and lots of goodies to look at so I'm sure you'll enjoy the visit.  It's always fun to contemplate a big set of antlers, especially a non-typical blacktail.  Happy Holidays!

Be careful...visits at Charlies can last for hours. Tons of stuff to gawk at.
 My last trip to his place was a 7 hour round trip.   :o

I hear you!  I think we should lobby for him to build a concession stand or at least offer up some good food and drink.  Taxidermists these days...
