I DON'T THINK THERE ARE ANY BEARS HERE IN WASHINGTON  YOU GUYS ARE PULLING ME LEG,    WON'T BELEIVE IT TILL I SEE ONE    :)

DON'T MEAN TO THREAD-JACK,...  BUT SPEARFISHING IS FUN,   NOT WITH A SPEARGUN,.. BUT A HANDHELD, OR "*censored*" SPEAR,..  LOL

DEFINATELY SAFER THAN SPEARING A BEAR.

OH,  AND ABOUT THE IDEA ABOUT USING A SHEILD,.....   WHAT IF THE SHEILD WAS REFLECTIVE LIKE A MIRROR,  WOULD THE BEARS REFLECTION PROVOKE HIM TO ATTACK ?

just hypothetically speaking, I might have seen something just exactly like this spearing thing. If I did it was pretty damn insane and the bear would have died pretty quick. Wasn't me but maby hypothetically someone I know.

There are a few guys around that hunt with spears for blackies... I looked over there spears seems kinda sketchy too me.  I guess the trick is dropping in on them when there preoccupied with salmon in a creek or bait...

Im not interested.

I dated a chick one time that wanted to take down a deer with a spear....I wonder if she is a member :chuckle:
