I know that river
I have caught several big natives out of there, biggest to date is a 25lb buck
I can't wait to get over there, I have spent many many hours and days on that river!
Those are some real nice fish, its time to turn it on for the year
Is that your drift boat?

your boat looks very similar to mine as well! That river looks familiar as well, but I haven't seen a day that good there.... yet...
Ellensburg, trust me, do not fish for steelies, they are addictive. It's like hunting, but hunting for fish, and very gear intensive over time! I wish I could get steelhead out of my head so I can concentrate on yotes, bobcats, cougar, and scouting for next year.... but I can't...

From page 27 of the 2010 WDFW Sportfishing Rules Pamphlet.
Release of wild STEELHEAD and DOLLY VARDEN/BULL TROUT is required year-round, except where retention is specifi cally authorized in the Special
Rules. In freshwater areas (except in the Columbia River between the Buoy 10 line and the Rocky Point/Tongue Point line) SALMON, STEELHEAD, and
DOLLY VARDEN/BULL TROUT to be released
may not be totally removed from the water
.
Unless you intend to kill a wild steel head, you cannot totally remove them from the water in Washington.
