Well I have heard otherwise, but I can believe that they could add the tracer effect easy enough.
Dreams are forever on the mind, realization in the hands.

There is no issue here but apparently some in this forum community are set on creating one.  Sparky and his guys are a great, ethical, and fantastic Washington based team, to bad this may scar the forum for all of us.

How do you figure there is no issue. A show, proportedly filmed in WA, using illegal items or special affects that make it appear to be using illegal equipment, is not an issue?  Scar the forum for all of us??   :dunno:   As far as I can see this is not much difference then the guy strapping a flashlight on his stabalizer.

:chuckle:  Just don't do a TV show or post photos on HuntWA and you "should" be ok.

There has been no illegal activity as stated numerous times, rather it is just being made up by this thread and people like you!  I thought more of you until now Machias your just being ridiculous.

I'm surprised so many of you really think something is going on here. I think that it's completely plausible to edit in the tracer It's probably pretty easy.

If someone posts a really big deer it's definately photoshopped because "anybody with a pc can do that". But for a professional to add a tracer is impossible? Really? I rarely watch bowhunting shows but when I do I like to see the impact to see where it was hit. Sounds like a great idea to me.  :dunno:

While I agree with Sparky's opinions on Lumenoks, I don't agree with or understand the need to edit in the Lumenok look. I feel it is being done for the sponsors and with all the people watching the show, I don't feel it's worth portraying illegal hardware without some sort of disclaimer stating it's an edit job.
Machias, I still respect your opinions.  ;)

I don't have any issue believing thats what they did, what  I don't understand is why. I suspect it was solely for the sponsors.

I havn't seen the show that's being discussed here, but do believe with the editing software today that it is possible to edit in a tracer into an arrows flight.

There are ten other threads regarding that topic.  Lets not turn this into one too.

Well damn now I'm going to lose some sleep.   8)   You know a 30 second blurb at the beginning of their show would go along way, you know like "Hey folks we think lumenoks should be legal, but they are not here in my home state.  Here is the arrow flight without lumenok and here we've edited it in, see how much easier it is to see the path of the arrow flight!".  Lots of guys were quick to jump on ol Ted Nugent for putting something on his show that was illegal, i.e. baiting deer.  Sorry, if I watch a show and the guy is doing something that appears illegal and then he comes out and says oh no don't watch this hand, watch this hand, it has the quarter in it.  Just because some guy I don't know says no I didn't do anything wrong I just did something....I don't know puzzling, does not mean I just accept it.  Kind of scratching my head that you guys are quick to jump on one guy and give another guy a pass because he's doing something or appears to be doing something you wish was legal.  I'm perplexed by that.

I just watched the show and I actually posted a thread about this because I did not see this one. Not only was there a tracer from the illuminock on the shot to the doe, but when they showed the buck laying dead the arrow sticking out of it had an illuminock on the arrow. It just seems dumb to edit your show to make it look like your doing illegal stuff. Since some people on here have suggested that they didn't use illuminocks but edited it to look that way.

Doesn't matter what hunting  sport you choose,  Hunting shows, sponsorships and money have made
people do stupid and sometimes illegal stuff.  Those dollar signs really test a man's ethics. Some stand
strong, some fail.   Congrats to those who stand strong.
