I was at the River Park Spokane last week and saw a Canadian with a huge Red Head with a bulge on it leading a flight up river. It was half domesticated. We shot a half breed up in Fall City this year- I've seen ducks in tri-cities that are half white but, they are just half breeds from people releasing their pets into the parks. I'd guess that is a cross domesticated call duck of some sort rather than an albino. Just my opinion. Still looks cool with the mallards.

Did he add white poop to the thousands of piles on the stairs?
My kids love that place.

There are lots of white/albino wood ducks in captivity. As Bone mentioned I too would bet this as an escape captive bird, another reason for it to be hanging out with the mallards. They are pretty cool looking but a silver wood duck is where it is at for me. I have only had one type of duck myself but toured aviaries and seen a lot. I looked into silvers a few years back and they were about $300 for a male if you could find one, and it usually meant you were on a waiting list. I could have purchased a pair of whites for about $125. Cool picture and they really are pretty cool birds.
If you ever get the chance

That is a cool picture. I am going to be in Spokane on Sunday and I'll take my camera and walk along the park to see if I can find it. I would love to mount one of them, and keep em under glass to drool over. Tahnsk for sharing the pictures.
