I was just given two recurve bows. I have never bow hunted so I was hoping you guys could tell me if they were worth keeping around.
1 is a Howatt Monterey 55# @ 28"
The other is a Colt Plainsman 43# @ 28"
They both say 60" below the serial numbers.

A nickel eh? They both appear to be in really good shape, the Monterey is nearly scratch free. The colt has a few small scratches on it, not many though.

The monterey is a fine bow, don't know much about the plainsman. If they shoot good for you they are worth keeping for sure. You may just find yourself bitten by the trad bug.
