Sorry all - nothing going  :'( - since I only do this as a side business/ hobby, I am not out trying to drum up business.  Most of my regulars I think are holding on to their money with the tough times right now.  I'm so busy at work (and our office just moved to Hellevue in October :bash: but happy to have a good job) and three kids under 7, one of which is special needs, I would have a tough time fitting in a line right now.

It is tough not being out there though especially after the amount of critters I've put away with my little hobby the last three years.

The bears and bobcats at the bait station aren't liking it either :chuckle:
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

I haven't set a trap yet this fall, so hard to get excited about cage trapping, especially looking at Marty's videos and photos.   :(

Nice job!!  I have oogled over Yancy's photos for years.  It just doesn't have the same appeal to me as laying steel in the ground does.

I'm new to this forum, and am a active trapper.I am sorry I have no pics of my catches so far this year, which include 5 coon,4 nutria, and 4 possum. I was only useing 3 cages. I will take pics of my new line  starting tomorrow. It will consist of two colony traps, two mink/muskrat sized traps, two coon/nutria sized traps, and a bobcat/coyote sized trap. These will be set in new locations where I have not made catches yet. I hope I have enough luck to make it interesting for you all.

Just downloaded the trapping manual/test material today.  Is the test tough?  Or Is it OK if you read all 115 pages and pay attention?

Is there any money in coons?  How hard are otters to trap off docks?

Kind of late to be thinking about starting this year but if you're determined read the materials in the training manual. The WDFW site does not have the whole thing on there but I think there is enough to get by on. Study it and schedule an appointment at a Olympia to challenge the course. They'll give you the test. The only place you can do it is Olympia. Other then that the next class will probably be next summer. Once you have passed the class you can get the license. Then get the cage traps and you're good to go.

Nothing in the mink sets, and I got out a large cage baited w/mackeral for coon today. And nothing in my colony traps either. I did see a neighbor wondering around in the area I have traps set. probably just curious, did not mess with nothing.
