Best MT antelope unit?

Honestly...I think 700 is best... most lope, most public land... most block management... good qual bucks. But...there are other great units, I just dont know them!

700 is too far to drive for a tame goat..

how bout the western half of the state :dunno:

One of the biggest goats I have ever seen was Between Deer Lodge and Anaconda last fall almost pulled my horse trailer over a hybrid when i seen it.   :chuckle:

The furthest west I've seen one on I-90 is near Drummond.  That's about 154 miles from Idaho.

I know antelope numbers and tags are way down in region 4. There are some nice bucks running around.  I bet the 700 has the most animals.

Id hunt em up around the richest hill on earth...

No doubt 700 has the most.....but its soooo far...mise well go to south dakota and shoot some roosters if im going that far :o

You don't need to go to S.D to shoot roosters.  Montana has WAY better bird hunting.

Huntnfool put 404 as the best trophy potential in MT, thats where I put in at, only have 2 points though. Dont see a ton of lope on the ranch over there when im deer hunting, but the bucks I see are all very nice ones, I dont know much about scoring antelope, but I know these are big boys. Lotta private land over in this unit.
