I'm wanting to get their model 627-5, stainless steel, 8 shot .357mag.  It's made in both of these series, and I cant tell what you get for the extra $300 in the performance center series.  Their website is a little vague on the differences.  It alludes to the performance series being custom picked components, hand tuned, etc...  I want this as a hunting/camping side arm, no competition shooting for me.  I'm sure the pro series is more than adequate, but don't want to pass up a better trigger or something like that.

The only difference between a butt kisser and a brown noser is depth perception.
