Zumbo's hunting show
« on: April 25, 2008, 12:24:29 PM »
I was watching Jim Zumbo's hunting show a couple days ago. Actually I was napping on the couch and when I woke up his show was playing.
He was elk hunting an area in BC, Canada that looked pretty impressive. Does anyone remember the name of the outfitter he was with? At he end of the show they named the outfitter and listed some prices. The price of his bull hunt seemed very reasonable.
Any one from here hunted elk up in Canada?

Never hunted Elk in Canada, nor did I see the show your talking about, but I do know there is a lot of High Fenced Elk hunting in Canada.  I highly doubt Zumbo's hunt was one of these as he's always been a Fair Chase guy.  But if your asking about Elk hunting in Canada with an outfitter.....really look into it.  Especially in Saskatchewan.....even Alberta and BC.  I'm just saying....don't be fooled.

The Banff area used to hold some outstanding elk, but you'd be better off with a wolf tag in your pocket now.   Its a little different up there I guess, as the elk aren't nearly as vocal with the wolves around.

Thanks for the replies, Elknut1 got it, Prophet Muskwa Outfitters.
The prices listed are not even close to the prices advertised on Zumbo's show, LOL.
Go figure

Thompson center's hunting show on the outdoor channel, featured one of there Professional hunters at the Prophet Muskwa outfitters, after the show I looked the prices up and no way in hell will I ever be able to afford to hunt there.  Wonder if it was the same outfitters that Jim used?
