It's getting close!!!!!!

I am getting very close, I should have my new/first bow in the next 30-45 days. I have been shooting lots of different bows, and at this point have it narrowed down to 2 right now, BUT there are a few new bows coming in the next 30 days or so that I have been told I need to shoot first. I am forcing myself to wait (because I am told they are worth trying), but it is so hard! There are some REALLY nice bows that have come out for this year, and some are incredibly good for the $$$. I am getting SOOOO excited, and am surprised at the patience that I have been able to muster to hold out for a couple of these recommended bows to get in! lol I have been dealing with John over at Ranch & Home, and have been EXTREMELY happy with his help and service so far, he is most of the reason that I have been able to be patient, he has been like my conscience on my shoulder lol. Refreshing to deal with someone that is actually slowing down the purchase process to make sure I am happy, rather than pushing you to buy something. I haven't been this excited about a purchase in a long time lol. Anyway, I just had to vent (in a good way) a little.

Its a great store! I don't know if they will be getting in the 2011 axe or dream season evo. But if you get the chance i would shoot both of them

Which two have you narrowed it down to? Which bows are you waiting for?

The 2010 Hoyt Maxxis 35 (or the 2011 equivelant, I don't remember the name, but it feels pretty much the same), The 2011 Hoyt Rampage (which so far has the overall best feel). Those are the 2 I narrowed it down to that I have shot. I don't remember the names of the ones I am waiting for lol, one I do know was a new PSE bow that is apparently pretty sweet, the other is a brand name that isn't overly common to date with hunting, mostly target. I don't remember the name, but it starts with an S. The Rampage is a mid-range priced bow, and feels the best so far, but the only fear might be the accuracy at 50-60yds + due to the Magnesium risers and 32" AtoA vs the Maxxis which is Machined Aluminum, and 35" AtoA. Not that the Rampage would be inaccurate, I am thinking that the Maxxis would just be more consistant at the longer yardages. However it is going to be tough to beat the feel of the Rampage, it is an outstanding feeling bow!

Yes that is the one! Supposedly they have a heck of a nice hunting bow coming out real soon.

I may be a little biased but my maxxis 35 is a tack driving machine! It holds sooo steady on the target it is insane. Seriously consider spending a little more time behind it, you will fall in love. one of the best shooters I have ever seen has 2 of them, every time I see him he gushes about how much he loves that bow and how it is the most accurate bow he has ever shot.

The Rampage actually feels better to shoot, but like I said there are a couple of characteristics that lead me to believe that the Maxxis 35 will be more consistant at longer distances. We will see, I have more shooting to do
