BC Chaser, why you shootin a shotgun? Just curious.

cause hes shootin them tame city bucks you can walk up too :chuckle:

Dare ya to say that about the bruisers in Hawkes Prairie back in the day. Shotgun only, but definitely not tame.

AMEN missed a couple of Hawks Prarie bucks when I was a high scool kid  :'(

Nice bucks lucky, looks pretty consistent------ that says a lot.

This 4pt on the right was a decent HP buck. Not as big as some of the monsters, but still a shooter.

Saw a buck just like the one on the right out in Hawks Prarie this year standing under an apple tree mid-day. There are still some good bucks out there, just to many people.

A funny story when I was doing a wetland mitigation project out there in HP a while back, there was a large field area next to a good sized warehouse that had surveillance around it by the wetland. The business owner paying for the mitigation project told me about catching a guy shooting from inside his van at a 5 point buck just before dark, the guy then parked and tried to find the buck by flashlight and couldn't find it, then left the area, by then security had called the gameys, they found the guy down the street at McDonalds having an sandwhich  :chuckle: :chuckle: at which point they told him never to trespass on that property again and wrote him a citation. Amazingly, the gameys went back to find the buck in the AM, only to find the guy there crawling around in the brush looking for it again!!!  :o

He was "escorted" away the second time, apparently is was a real trophy buck.
