Guys
I been hittin it hard every weekend this season and since the THANKSGIVING DAY SLAUGHTER there has been a duck drought op here! Where are they all???

I've seen more geese and swans in corn fields lately than ducks.  Most of the larger water spots are frozen now. Bright clear skies and colder temps might not help you duck hunters at all either. You're going to have to burn some fuel to find where they've gathered in pockets of farm drainages. I think most of them flew south though.

I agree with you, Steve...
I just simply don"t have the fuel or time to burn. If there is a duck in the county. it ain't around here. I wasn't really looking for answers, just wishing for more success. I spent the better part of the morning listening to other hunters constant barrage of hail calls to a clear sky and empty field. I saw a single duck fly over at about 200ft off the deck and the group of "hail ers" let loose at him. just pitiful and frustrating. Pretty much the story of my season.
