Full body jump for the Grouse?  I want a Bear that's just a shoulder mount reaching out with open jowels and grasping a Grouse.

A full boddied cat leaping off a piece of wood grasping a bird would be SICK.. (in other words, that'd be pretty sweet)

Thought this one would be a nicen to have jumping to show off its belly and its white toes on its back feet. Thanks for the pictures of the mounts i was leaning towards the more natural wood look anyways i really like em. Keep em coming.

I know a trapper that has trapped 100's of Bobcats. He got one 2 weeks ago with white toes and said
it was his first ever. What a prize for sure.

I was on a coyote stand and sat down and literaly blew my call for 8 seconds and he came in for the stalk. He looks alittle skinny because i hit him high in the back with the 243 and it sucked his insides out lol

Charlie does a nice job on cats ;) Here's mine from a couple years ago. I did finish the base up with a snow scene, it looks awesome. When I get a chance I'll take some good pics of it completed.

No, I used a chunk of old growth twisted juniper on mine. I sprayed it with about four coats of catalyzed lacquer.

No that is nothing like diamond willow, this is where I would recommend he has some real nice diamond pieces. I have quite a bit but making a bed out of it.

I have my kitty at Charlie's (Charlie's Taxidermy near Chehalis WA) right now and can't wait to get it back. I saw some of his work on this site and took my cat to him for the first thing of mine for him to do. I have subsequently taken him my deer and my brother in laws deer as well. I have confidence that he will make it a work of art! Looking forward to it Charlie!!!

How hard was it to find that juniper you used on your bobie mount MuleySniper? Thats the wood I like or maybe some Cedar since I am on the wet side, that I have on  my place free90free. :chuckle:

I got it from my buddy Luke at Blackwater Fish Replicas. He makes annual trips to eastern OR and gathers/buys it. He let me dig through his pile until I found a piece I wanted. The pic does it no justice. It's awesome. I've since finished up my mount completely. I'll post some better pics of it all done. I just need to take some, I'll try to tomorrow. I'll get some close ups of the wood too. You might want to check out his website or give him a call, he would probably sell you a piece for a reasonable price. He uses a lot of juniper with his fish mounts. Otherwise you might just have to search the www.

No problem! Here are some close ups of the wood. Also lots of people wanted to see a pic of my mount "done" :chuckle: Plus it was nice to take it down to clean and dust off.

Thanks. Its too hard to see the drifts in the snow since its so white, but the detail is there. I figure if I get tired of the snow scene someday, I'll just make a new one with different vegetation, but so far I'm still diggin the snow. Leaving for the eastside tomorrow after work for throughout the weekend in hopes of some yotes and a potential feline rug candidate of the same specimen 8)
