You guys should post up a photo of the base so we can compare the shape and see if they match up.  My gut says no but it would be interesting to check if they were found within the same general area.

I dont think its a match. I will try and post a pic of the base on mine. Your shed looks real heavy, and similar genetics. I'd be real surprised if you had the match for the shed I found, anything is possible, though.

Here are some pics of the base of the monster shed... Now here is a dumb question: How can you tell from looking at the bases whether its off the same animal? Do you look at base diameter? Tine structure?

Heres a couple pics of the base on my shed.  Elk dont have as destinctive bases as deer do though.  The only reason I posted a picture of my shed is because I think it looks very similar to the one Sportsman picked up.  This is a bull I saw a couple of times.  His right was a seven point with the unique kicker just like on Sportsmans shed.  From the pictures these sheds look very similar especally on the front three points.  No.  I dont believe they are a match.  Seeings how I found my shed a couple years earlier than Sportsmans.  I suppose they could be the same bull though or at least the same gene pool?  It would be neat to know.        Naaagh!  Definately cant be the same bull  cause I found that shed in a little piece of Heaven.

Thanks for sharing the photo's fella's! Love the freaking mass on them sheds. Maybe when I quit looking so hard for it, i'll find a shed that will go over 160!!!
