That's a great bull.  That weird sticker point is pretty common to bulls here in the Blues in the Southeast.  I know when I was a kid and the elk were just starting to filter up into the NE corner of the state, Fish and Game considered them a branch of the blues herd. 
Good luck finding him next fall... He should be the dominent bull in the area, so if you find a big herd of cows in September, he shouldn't be far behind... :tup:

I hear you. I like rifle hunting for elk up there, but I also like the idea of hunting that bull during the rut with a bow. Almost makes me want to buy a bow...
