2010 Whidbey Christmas Buck
« on: December 25, 2010, 10:52:07 PM »
Not much to tell.  He's the one I've been after and tonight he decided to make a mistake right at last light. Arrow went right through the heart and a lung. Ran about 20 yards and down he went. Meat in the freezer.  The wife wasn't overly happy that I went hunting but I guess it was worth it. I had some camera malfunctions so this is all I have for now. I'll try to get some better ones tomorrow.  He's not as big as last years but he's a nice island 3x4.  Thank you Santa!!!!

That is a nice BT! and an even better island deer! Congratulations and merry Christmas!

Here's some more pics of him hanging.  Wish I could have gotten some out in the woods but these will have to do.

Awesome deer, though Whidbey's not a "real" island.....   :chuckle:  Awesome to get the ONE you have been after.

Nice deer!  So why is Whidbey not a real Island?

I took the cape to the local taxidermist.  He needed one for a buck that a special needs kid shot. We found bird shot in his face.  REALLY?
