3 blazers work well for me. I ran some numbers through archers advantage for a friend using 4 bohning killer vanes and it murdered his foc %. Something to consider.

4 for me..... but i shoot a stickbow so the arrow with the blazers is my "wet conditions" arrow. i fletch them at 60/120 and it gives me perfect clearance off the shelf or an elevated rest..... they fly like darts even with BIG fixed blade broadheads.

with 225gr of weight up front, it doesn't do squat to my FOC. :chuckle: :P..... not that i worry about FOC much though.

I shot 3 - 4" vanes for a while and switched to 3 helical Blazers this past summer with no noticealbe difference. I was told the Blazers wouldn't stabilize a broadhead but they work great for the 100gr Thunderheads and 100gr Slicktricks I've shot.
In my mind they would stabilize a broadhead better because they sit higher and will have more drag. Truthfully, I'm not sure what the resistance difference would be between a 4" regular vane and a 2' Blazer vane.
Maybe if anyone knows where this info is in print, they could post a link or better yet, post the info chart!!!

I have experimented a lot with different vanes and two inch blazers with a helical are the most accurate with broadheads that I have found. This is just my setup, but when I went from testing different 4" vanes to slightly offset blazers, I saw a big improvement. Then I got a blazer helix jig which puts a 3deg helical on them and saw even more improvement. Yes, my bow was tuned in 3 different methods, I have good form and I build my arrows from bare shafts, squaring the ends and making sure the broadheads are perfectly straight. This is just my experience and I am not saying blazers are the BEST, just that they are tackdrivers for me. I believe that blazers stabilize broadheads better and quicker than standard 4" vanes. But this is with my setup, others may be different. On my worst days with broadheads I shoot 4" groups at 40 yds, and I now never get any flyers that arent caused by me. Some may think that 4" at 40 isnt that accurate, but I am realistic and know that that 1" group I shot at 40yds the other day isnt my average group. :chuckle:

I like 2" Blazers with 3 degrees of helical as well.  Stabilizes all broadheads I have tried so far.  Slick tricks, thunder heads, muzzy 3 blades and some cabelas cheapies that I got a good deal on.  All flew great with the helical blazers.

I've only ever shot 3 vanes, so that is my preference.

I shoot 4 vanetec hp vanes " they are 2inch like the blazer" i shoot 80-83lbs and my target arrows are pushing 340fps i have never had any problem with foc. I have had nothing buy good luck running 4 vanes. Lots of spin with a big offset  for big fixed blade heads. I also shoot 6-3" feathers on my trad arrows. I like the 4 vanes because i don't have to look down to knock my arrow. Because any way i click it on. its going to fly strait :IBCOOL:

Love the Slick Tricks as well. Punched a 100gr hole through a bucks shoulder this year and not a nick on any of the blades just a little duller is all.
God Bless,
