GOT MY TURKEY
« on: April 18, 2008, 09:28:34 PM »
Had a great time calling turkey's in Colville. got this Tom 4:15 pm opening day. i was at my camp and heard him Gobble. had three rig's go by and every time he would Gobble.i went down the road a little. and mouth called he kept Gobbing but wouldnt come closer. i got a little closer same thing he would Gobble but not come. i remembered a old grade. i got to the top and he Gobbled real close. i hurried and got next to a tree. then i mouth called real low. and he Gobbled. within a minute i seen his head. he came up on the level area and started strutting it was cool. i mouth called once more and he stuck his head up then i shot he went down flopping like they do. he had a 7 1/2 inch beard. had a great time was very cold tho. i camped at the snow line. now it's bear calling time. Rick

I think the bear will look out their windows this morning and decide to go back to bed.  Thats what I wanted to do anyway.
