So what cam is a better choice?

For my money the Tasco on sale for 79.99 at cabelas right now: http://www.cabelas.com/trail-cameras-tasco-5-trail-camera-2.shtml

I bought 5 of them this past summer. One of them just died (it had issues with the IR flash prior to quitting on me). One of them has a red tint to all the photos (no big deal). Each one of them has taken thousands of pictures for me. Don't get me wrong...I have had plenty of issues with these Tascos... but they are as small as the bushnell's and they are a lot cheaper so not as big of a deal if they get stolen or quit working. I also found the pictures to be of decent quality.

I am attaching photos of my wifes buck taken with the Tasco cam in daylight, low light and no light. Until someone can develop a camera that actually lasts more than two years (consistently) this little camera will meet my needs.

I will also agree with what DB said, I am done with spendy cams, they all seem to never make it past 2 years without issues, weather and the changing temps plays havoc on electronics. The best cam I ever owned is the moultrie IR, the batterys lasted forever and always worked, till someone stole it! :bash:

Best overall cam I've found also.

Thinking about trying a tasco, thanks to the info from DB.

I've heard too many bad reports on different Bushnells also.  As for the Moultree's, I've seen them lately for sale in the $50 dollar range.  A guys not going to be as pissed if one ends up missing.  They have good customer service also if one fails.

Exactly.. I am done spending $200+ for a camera that is going to last no longer than a camera costing less than $100.

Is it the small ones that fit in the palm of your hand? The last Wal-mart tascos I saw were the big ones. I have never used those.
