New Primos Truth cam use questions
« on: December 30, 2010, 02:15:42 PM »
I received a new Truth Cam 46 for Christmas and the trail camera seems pretty cool so far! I read the instructions and checked out billythekid tutoria for additional info. Since it has been pretty cold lately is it still okay to put the camera out? At this point I just want to practice have some fun but don't want to damage due to the cold weather. Based on the operating temps 10 to 130 degree really shouldn't be an issue just curious if others have there cams out now. Also, since it raining and pretty wet right now are there any concerns with the cam getting damaged?  I found an area close to home which as a resident blacktail deer (neighbor area no hunting). Thanks for the input and thoughts

my cams are out in Nov and dec during late archery, I wouldnt just place it somewhere if your not using it to scout, someone may take it. Also these cams last about 2 years and they all start messing up, so much electronics can take sitting outside day after day

Okay thanks for the response. I'm placing it behind a friends place. There is a water tower and an active game trail. Seems only to be used by deer but I'm sure someone messing around with it could be an issue. I got a nice cable lock so hopefully it will get taken.

I got the Truth Cam 60 and put it out for late archery,  Love it except for a couple things!  temp guage whacked out when temps got below 0, worked fine again when temps went back up. Takes great pics both durring day and at night, not so good durring the low light/transition hours just before dark and just before light.  I wouldnt worry about the weather they are designed to be out in the elements. Just close it up tight!
There are no stupid questions... just lots of inquisitive idiots!

I have a couple differnt trail cams and primos 46 is one of them i leave it out all year around with no problems yet . But to get the most battery life i found out to cut it down to 25leds and you will get twice the battery life and the pictures are all still clear.
