Anyone know this species of owl?

It's been a quiet owl winter here this year.  We generally have two or three that we can hear but this year we have only heard one and that was only one night.  Maybe with the nasty weather we haven't been out as much this year after dark?

We had asaw-whet two years ago that would hang out by the house.  We finally figured out he was scoping the dog food dish watching for mice coming around.  Owls are pretty cool.
