bullet diameter

qn.  is a 7 mm. the same diameter as 270? what i am asking are the bullets interchangeable?  mike w

7mm is a .284 diameter bullet and 270 is .277. So no, not interchangeable.

It's a good idea to get a reloading manual just to familiarize yourself with terminology and basic differences between cartridges and their capabilities.  Even if you don't reload, the reference material may help you make an informed choice next time you buy another gun, which we all need to do now and then!
