When we all look up to see the flocks migrating in that luscious "V" formation... have any of you ever noticed that one side of the "V" is longer than the other?  You know why that is?

LOL.... Yup... you'd be surprised at how many folks are lookin' for sumpin' profound, or highly technical/aerodynamic in nature.  Good fodder for hours in the blind with a buddy though.

After i told her the answer, she locked me outside.

The V's will change lots of times as well.  The lead bird will drift back a spot and the next bird will push to the front.  They draft off on another, so the length on sides will change.  Simple answer as mentioned, just more birds on one string.
