Howdy Mossy, just got home from the confluence/lower Clearwater/ Snake south of interstate bridge, 1500 Hrs. I hit the Snake below Asotin first thing, pulling plugs, zip. Three chaps were bobber-flopping same area, put three in the box, saw one more fall to bobber/ shrimp,  I cut away about 1100 Hrs,  hit lower Clearwater/confluence, did not mark any fish above sardine size. Marked a nice string, pod of fish around the power-lines below Asotin, where the bobber gang was whuppin' up on them. Had some sucess down river from Clarkston last week, remote release on a 10-12 ish, put a 17# hi-fin to the boat and my partner last saturday whacked a 20# buck, a keeper. Yah, he was tickled. Hope this helps. Tight lines, FF

It helps alot.  Alot of tight lipped steelheaders out there.  Last time we trolled plugs with no luck but saw many people bobber fishing.  Wasn't my boat so I couldn't talk him into anchoring.  So bobber and shrimp is the ticket?  Thanks

Hey Mossy, you're welcome. Bobber/shrimp-- bobber floppin' is same same. some of the "gifted ones" 'round here look down their nose at us "pond fisherman" , bobber fishing is easy to learn and dosen't require years of study and practice. Plugs are working west of Clarkston, bobbers south of Clarkston with eggs or shrimp . Shoot me a note couple days before you head south, see if I can shake the bushes for the latest Intel. Tight lines,FF

They sure do. Not sure why 'cause we knock em dead with bobber and shrimp. No matter, I could care less what others think as long as we are pullin' em in!
